ANALYSIS OF THE EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM FOR BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN GRAPHIC DESIGN AT THE WESTERN UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract
!e study explores the understanding of various issues observed in
design education at the university level worldwide; it examines the main
contemporary design challenges; and analyzes the process of modernization
of the educational and professional program for preparing a Bachelor’s
degree in Graphic Design at the Western Ukrainian National University. !e
research emphasizes the need for integrating innovation, interdisciplinary
approaches, and ethical principles into contemporary design education.
Modern curricula should not only provide students with professional
knowledge but also foster the development of critical thinking, creativity,
and the ability to adapt to the rapidly changing technological and social
environment. An important aspect is the -exibility of educational models
that meet the demands of the innovative economy, promote sustainable
development, and take cultural changes into account. Special attention
should be given to the interdisciplinary approach, the integration of cutting
edge technologies, and sustainability principles in the educational process.
Furthermore, key factors include ensuring ethical standards, academic
integrity, and the development of scienti"c research in the design "eld.
!is will help shape responsible and highly quali"ed designers capable of
addressing global challenges, supporting innovation, and promoting ethical
and cultural changes in society.
