FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF THE PROJECT CYCLING CLUB “SOKOŁY Z JAGATOWA”

Abstract

Research objective: To develop an economic and financial concept for the business project “Sokoły z Jagatowa”. Research hypothesis: Self-employment is a good alternative for an athlete at the end of his sports career.
Methodology: The research material is based on the economic categories constituting the income statement and the cash flow statement, the literature and other sources (The author, by analysing the economic categories in the pro forma income statement, tried to answer the question of whether it would be profitable for her to start a business in the cycling industry after the end of her professional career. The research employed, among others, the economic matrix method of information linkages (EMPI) and β-business mathematical tables to design and analyze the cost of sales structure and determine its critical points.
Research results: The conducted economic-financial analysis of the project “Sokoły z Jagatowa” showed that the project is a profitable venture and can serve as an alternative for the author, who will face the choice of becoming self-employed or taking on a job with an employer after her sporting career ends.
