Main Article Content
Abstract
The study explores the understanding of various issues observed in design education at the university level worldwide; it examines the main contemporary design challenges; and analyzes the process of modernization of the educational and professional program for preparing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the Western Ukrainian National University. The research emphasizes the need for integrating innovation, interdisciplinary approaches, and ethical principles into contemporary design education. Modern curricula should not only provide students with professional knowledge but also foster the development of critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to adapt to the rapidly changing technological and social environment. An important aspect is the flexibility of educational models that meet the demands of the innovative economy, promote sustainable development, and take cultural changes into account. Special attention should be given to the interdisciplinary approach, the integration of cutting-edge technologies, and sustainability principles in the educational process.
Furthermore, key factors include ensuring ethical standards, academic integrity, and the development of scientific research in the design field. It will help shape responsible and highly qualified designers capable of addressing global challenges, supporting innovation, and promoting ethical and cultural changes in society.
