COMMUNITY WORK MODELS AND PROVIDING LEISURE ACTIVITIES

Abstract

The text focuses on models of community work, their characteristics, and their application in social practice, based on the concept of Botek et al. (2017). It presents eight models of community work that differ in strategy, worker roles, and target groups, yet often overlap in practice. Particular attention is given to the model of community planning of social services as a tool for citizen participation in local community development. The paper further discusses the role, skills, ethical principles, and competencies of community workers. The final section presents community centers as spaces for community development and leisure activities through various forms of therapy and engagement, contributing to social inclusion, personal growth, and an improved quality of life for community members.
