Abstract
Background: In recent years, pedagogical practice has increasingly emphasized that children should acquire new knowledge, skills, and experiences through their own activities and experiences, and that they should have space for self-realization, self-expression, and self-actualization. Methods: In this paper, we highlight the importance of emergent literacy and the development of children's graphomotor skills through the application of innovative and activating methods in creative educational activities. Results: We present practical examples of working with children, where we develop graphomotor skills through the application of innovative activating methods, experiential learning, and their own activity as part of the daily activities of children in kindergarten, which are good preparation for writing. Conclusion: The findings suggest that the use of innovative and experiential teaching methods significantly contributes to the development of graphomotor skills and supports children’s readiness for the process of learning to write in primary education.
